외국인유학생 특별장학금 (Special Scholarship for International Students)

장학금액 Scholarship Amount
1) 인문사회계열: 등록금 50% 감면 (50% tuition waiver for Humanities and Social Science major students)
2) 이공계열: 등록금 60% 감면 (60% tuition waiver for Natural Science and Engineering major students)
※ TOPIK 4급 이상 소지자는 1회 추가장학금 50만원 지급 (For those tho have TOPIK level 4 or better will receive an additional scholarship, 500,000won, just for one time.)

위 장학제도는 2020학년도 입학자부터 해당됩니다.

The above mentioned scholarship policy applies to the new international students admitted from the academic year 2020.

박사과정 학업전념 외국인유학생 특별 장학금 (Special Scholarship for Full-Time Doctoral Course Student)

지원자격 Eligibility
1) 석사과정 성적 Master's course score: 백분률 90/100 이상 또는 4.0/4.5 이상 (90/100 or better, 4.0/4.5 or better)
2) 외국어Foreign Language: 한국어 TOPIK 5급(인문사회계), 4급(자연공학계)이상 또는 영어 TOEFL 550 (CBT 210, IBT 80), IELTS 5.5, TEPS 601, New TEPS 327 이상
(Korean: TOPIK level 5 or higher for Humanities and Social Science, and level 4 or better for Natural science and Engineering / English: TOEFL 550 (CBT 210, IBT 80), IELTS 5.5, TEPS 601, New TEPS 327 or better)
3) OECD 비회원국 유학생 우선 선발 (Students from non-OECD countries will be given priority.)

준수사항 Requirements
평균평점 4.0/4.5이상(매 직전학기 기준) 성적 유지 (Selected recipients should maintain full-time student status and keep their GPA for minimum 4.0 out of 4.5 each semester.)

의무가입대상 : 외국인 유학생 전체  (자세한 사항은 홈페이지 참조, http://www.nhis.or.kr)
All international students who reside in Korea for six months or more will be compulsorily subscribed to the National Health Insurance from March 2021. For details, please refer to the National Health Insurance Service website. (http://www.nhis.or.kr).

가입기간 및 방법 : 「국민건강보험법」개정에 따라 2021년 3월부터 모든 외국인 유학생은 국민건강보험 지역가입자로 가입되며, 매달 보험료를 납부해야 함.
International students are required to pay the insurance fee monthly.

접수된 원서의 기재사항 착오, 누락, 오기 등으로 인한 불이익은 지원자 본인의 책임이며, 연락이 두절된 경우에는 전형대상에서 제외될 수 있음. 접수 완료된 원서내용은 지원자가 정정할 수 없음.

Applicants are solely responsible for disadvantages resulting from incorrect, false, or missing information on the application form. In case an applicant cannot be reached, the applicant may be excluded from the assessment process.

2개 이상의 모집단위에 중복 지원할 수 없으며, 중복 지원 시 불합격 처리함. 온라인 입학지원 사이트에서 원서 작성 후 “지원서 제출”버튼을 눌러야 입학지원이 완료됨. “지원서 제출”을 누르지 않을 경우 원서가 접수되지 않음.

It is not allowed to apply for two or more departments at the same time, and the applicants must click the “submit” button after filling out application information online.

전형료는 지원마감 후 반환이 불가하며, 합격자에게는 제출한 서류를 반환하지 않음. 본 요강에 명시된 서류 이외에도 지원자격 등 확인을 위해 서류를 추가로 요구할 경우 반드시 제출해야 함.

The application fee will not be returned after the application period, and the admitted applicants cannot get the submitted documents back, either. In case an applicant is requested to submit supplementary documents that are not specified in this guide for the eligibility verification, he/she must submit the documents.

수험생은 전형일 당일 신분증과 수험표를 필히 지참하여야 함. (온라인 입학지원 사이트에 로그인한 후 출력 가능)

Each applicant must bring his/her identification document when they attend the interview.

졸업(학위취득)예정자로서 합격한 자는 별도 지정한 기일까지 졸업(학위취득) 증명서와 최종 성적증명서를 제출하여야 함.

After the admission decision has been made, a student admitted with an expected graduation certificate must submit his/her final degree certificate and a final transcript within the designated period, otherwise, his/her admission will be cancelled.

학기 개시일(전기입학자 3월 1일, 후기입학자 9월 1일) 이후 입학취소, 자퇴 등으로 등록금 반환사유가 발생한 경우 본교 규정에 따라 입학금은 반환하지 않으며, 수업료의 일부만 반환함.

In case the admission is cancelled after the start of class (March 1 for the spring admission, September 1 for the fall admission), only a partial amount of tuition fee will be returned.

합격자 발표 후 본교 석사 또는 박사과정 입학 자격 검증을 위한 전적대학 학력조회가 시행되며, 지원자의 출신학교로부터 조회결과가 회신되지 않는 경우 본인이 직접 출신학교에 연락하여 학력조회가 이루어질 수 있도록 조치를 취해야 함. 학력조회가 미회신되거나 입학 자격이 검증되지 않는 경우 합격 또는 입학이 취소될 수 있음.

After the result announcement, the Soongsil Graduate School will begin the　degree authentication process. In　case there is no reply from the previous university, the applicant is supposed to communicate with the previous university to finish the process. In case the verification process failed, his/her admission can be canceled even after the start of　class.

입학 자격을 갖추지 못한 것으로 판명된 경우, 위변조 서류 제출 및 허위 사실 기재 또는 기타 부정한 방법으로 입학한 사실이 있는 경우 학기 개시일 이후에도 입학이 취소되며, 이로 인한 불이익은 전적으로 지원자의 책임으로 등록금을 반환하지 않음.

If an applicant fails to meet the application requirements, submits false information, commits cheating during the evaluation process, or an applicant’s visa application is denied, then his/her admission will be cancelled even after the admission is officially announced or classes start. In this case, the tuition fees will not be returned.

외국인 특별전형 합격자는 입국을 위한 사증을 발급받아 학기 개시일 이전에 입국하여야 하며, 학기 개시일 후 일정 기간 내에 입국하지 않을 경우 입학취소 등 불이익이 발생할 수 있음.

Admitted international students must acquire a student visa and enter Korea before the semester begins. If an admitted student fails to enter Korea within a prescribed period after the semester starts, his/her admission can be cancelled.

학과별 지원 인원 미달 시 입학전형을 취소할 수 있으며, 취소 시 전형료 전액 반환함.

If the number of applicants for a department is less than a certain amount, the admission process for the department can be cancelled. In this case, the application fee will be returned.

합격자는 본교 대학원 홈페이지를 통해 발표하며, 이를 확인하지 않아 발생하는 불이익에 대한 책임은 지원자 본인에게 있음. (개별통보 없음)

The final result of the admission process will be posted on the online application website. There will be NO individual notification and applicants are solely responsible for confirming their admission status.

본 요강에 명시되지 않은 사항은 본교 규정 및 본교 대학원운영위원회 결정에 따름.

General policies and regulations of the university will be applied for situations that are not specified in this guide.

지원한 과정의 전공이 하위 과정의 전공과 상이하거나, 특수대학원이나 전문대학원에서 석사학위를 취득한 후 박사과정에 입학하는 경우 해당 학위과정 수료에 필요한 학점 이외에 선수과목을 이수하거나 추가학점을 취득해야 함.

If an applicant’s previous field of study is different from the admitted program, or the applicant has graduated from a specialized or professional graduate school, he/she would need to take prerequisite courses or additional credits.
